In this role, you won’t just be coding—you’ll be solving real business problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and helping shape the digital employee experience. You’ll be part of a modern HR technology ecosystem, working alongside experienced engineers, product leaders, and architects to deliver scalable and impactful solutions to a global workforce.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll:
- Design, build, and support integrations and configurations within Workday
- Develop custom applications using Workday Extend to solve unique business problems and extend the platform beyond out-of-the-box functionality
- Work with Workday Prism Analytics to prepare, transform, and model large datasets into meaningful insights and reporting solutions
- Build and maintain integrations using APIs, Workday Studio, and EIBs
- Develop business logic using calculated fields and business process frameworks
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements across Payroll, HCM, Recruiting, and Benefits
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates who are excited to learn and grow in a highly technical, enterprise environment.
- Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
Application Development:
- Interest in building low code / pro-code enterprise applications within a cloud platform
- Exposure to concepts like web app development, UI design, event-driven logic, and APIs
- Ability to think in terms of modular app design, reusable components, and secure data handling
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript) and familiarity with REST APIs, or modern app frameworks.
Data Engineering & Analytics:
- Comfort working with data—transforming, blending, and analyzing datasets
- Familiarity with ETL concepts, data pipelines, and structured vs. unstructured data
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, or analytics tools is a strong asset
- Interest in turning data into insights that drive decision-making
