The Digital Product Management Specialist plays a key role ensuring Canada Life’s digital capabilities meet the needs of advisors, customers, and employees who support them. Reporting to a Product Owner on the Digital Experience team, the Digital Project Management Specialist helps dive into complex problems to ensure solutions are based on a rigorous understanding of desired outcomes and a range of possible options. This role impacts multiple experiences across lines of business and requires a combination of interpersonal collaboration, adaptability, attention to detail, assertiveness, and drive to get things done to be successful. 

 

What you will do  
•    Work with the Product Owner and partners across the organization to develop recommendations and roadmaps for digital capabilities. 
•    Assess rapidly emerging challenges and opportunities to enable organizational agility. 
•    Collaborate with specialists and leaders across lines of business in addition to Technology and Marketing & Experience teams. 
•    Advocate for building toward optimal solutions for our advisors, customers, and the organization. 
•    Create artifacts to facilitate stakeholder and  team alignment throughout discovery and implementation. 
•    Lead tactical and strategic workstreams from ideation to implementation and transition to maintenance. 
•    Ongoing management and support for specific capabilities including advisor-facing content management. 
 

What you will bring  
•    3-5+ year track record of proactively identifying and delivering improved outcomes for a product, capability, or experience – ideally in a large-scale or enterprise context. 
•    Experience partnering with a broad range of stakeholders and skilled team members in dynamic, agile work environments. 
•    Ability to dive into unique, complex challenges and make sense of problems from business, technology, and user experience perspectives. 
•    Resourcefulness and proficiency adapting different methodologies, frameworks, and tools to suit a given problem and timeline. 
•    Effective communication, including through uncertainty and change. 
•    Desire to continuously learn about new technology and industry trends, product management skills, business practices, etc. 
•    Experience using collaboration and support tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar. 
•    Insurance and/or wealth management industry experience preferred. 
•    Experience with enterprise-grade CRM and/or CMS platforms is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between  $61,900.00 - $114,500.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
