Join StarTech.com as a Pricing & Costing Analyst, where you will be instrumental in providing key reporting and analysis on product margins for the business.  Reporting to the Supervisor, Financial Analysis, you will be responsible for reporting, analyzing, and ensuring accuracy of pricing, costing, gross product margins, and inventory valuation across all customers, regions, and currencies globally.

Please note this is a hybrid opportunity (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in office each week and Monday/Friday from home).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination, analysis, and execution of selling price changes and ensuring accurate price lists are maintained for all customers, currencies, and regions globally.
  • Working with key stakeholders across the business and driving process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency of all price changes.
  • Maintenance, reporting, and analysis of product standard cost. Ensuring all components impacting standard cost are accurate through the creation and execution of audit procedures and regular review and follow-up of error reporting.
  • Providing analysis and validation of various deductions from distribution partners and resellers on pricing claims, special promotions, bid grids, price protections, and other approved discounts across the channel.
  • Completion of various other reporting and analysis required by the business in the areas of product margins and inventory such as pricing impact analysis, excess and obsolete inventory reporting, consignment inventory adjustments and reporting and cost of goods sold forecasting.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or in a related field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a pricing analyst in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in systems including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word), and Power BI (Business Intelligence).
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis.
  • Experience with complex database queries, reports, and analysis.
  • Experience in collaborating on pricing strategies with sales, product, marketing, and vendor management teams.
  • Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable while operating independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and driving process efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the IT Channel is preferred.
