StarTech.com is looking for a Channel Inventory Planner to join our team.  This role will be accountable for execution and management of product availability at Distribution Partners’ warehouses

Reporting to the Manager, Partner Inventory Planning & Execution, the Channel Inventory Planner’s key responsibility is enabling our Channel Partners by maintaining inventory levels at our Distribution warehouses (consignment & non-consignment) through validation and analysis of weekly & bi-weekly order suggestions by following inventory policies and standardized replenishment logic set in ATLAS forecasting & demand planning system.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and validating the weekly order suggestion process from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, data integrity, thorough analysis, and finalization of orders for both internal and external customers.
  • Coordinating and validating all monthly and quarterly stock rotations from distribution partners, ensuring timely completion, preparing RMA templates, analyzing return quantities, and finalizing rotations for both internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring the inventory investment at partner and customer warehouses both enables revenue growth and demonstrates responsible use of inventory, and proactively monitor the customer’s view of availability and aging inventory
  • Managing of distribution partners in ATLAS by reviewing exceptions from period-end processing, investigating outliers with the Sales team, editing SKUs from weekly order suggestions, and performing ad hoc maintenance in collaboration with Forecasting and IT teams.
  • Conducting inventory versus sales analysis upon request, providing channel-related data to internal teams, and updating the order suggestion issues log weekly.
  • Partner with sales and category management to leverage customer reports, intelligence from our various analytic teams and balance the internal, external and customer viewpoint on product availability
  • Leading, preparing for, and actively participating in various meetings, including monthly sessions with Account Managers and the Sales Coordinating Team.
  • Proactively identify and acts upon missed revenue opportunities resulting from poor SKU sales performance by monitoring forecasts, actual results, stock levels and soliciting market feedback from the sales teams
     

Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma Program or University Degree, preferably with Business background
  • 3-5 years of demand planning, materials management and/or production planning experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook and BI data base tools
  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Dynamics 365
  • Experience working with forecasting and planning systems, preferably ATLAS
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, and attention to details
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with Power BI development
  • APICS, CPIM and/or CSCMP designations are preferred
