Job Description
Support Staff employees, as defined by the full-time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.
Payband: This position is paid at Payband I.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; This position is subject to averaging of hours; May be required to work weekends, holidays and off-hours for projects, maintenance and support.
Duties: Under the supervision of the Director, Enterprise Solutions, the incumbent provides senior programming, systems analysis, systems design and database administration expertise in the development and support of the College’s information systems. Also provides training and support to Programmer/Analysts and Programmers as needed.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Computer Programmer/Analyst or Management Information Systems
- Minimum 5 years’ computer programming experience including at least 3 years’ experience in project management, systems analysis, systems design, SQL Server database administration, SQL programming and minimum five years ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML programming, Envision, Unidata and UniObjects experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience with Crystal Reports, VBScript and JavaScript would be an asset
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
