Desktop and Collaboration Services is looking for a Manager, Change Management and Adoption.   

 

This role is responsible for building and running an organizational change management capability to advance the roll-out and adoption of end user technologies across the organization. 

This role will report to the Director, Collaboration Services.

Desktop and Collaboration Services is part of Infrastructure and Operations, Canada Technology organization and is responsible for providing desktop, M365, messaging, meeting room and collaboration technologies to Canada Life end users. 

 

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure changes are introduced with minimal impact, are well understood and supported. 
  • Create and maintain repeatable organizational change management strategies and roadmaps tailored to advancing the use and adoption of technology and services. 
  • Acts as a change leader and advocate for organizational change management, methodologies, and practice across the organization, including influencing senior leadership 
  • Facilitate regular feedback opportunities to ensure objectives and benefits are realized.  
  • Ensure technology, practices and services are adopted and applied to business scenarios in a fit-for-purpose manner. 
  • Works with Learning and Development, Human Resources, Communications areas and others as necessary in the development and implementation of successful ACM strategies and plans 
  • Apply design-thinking principles to problem solving 
  • Influence new ways of working and open feedback mechanisms 
  • Measure adoption of new technology, service management practices and services and act iteratively (ongoing change adoption)
  • Explore creative methods of delivering communication, training and awareness. 
  •  Providing guidance, education, and support transition for end user technologies to other Canada Technology teams

Technology Deployment

  • Ensure that all end user facing technology changes have the appropriate communication and support plans in place
  • Contribute to large scale deployments to ensure strong adoption

Incident and Problem Management

  • Ensure end user impact is understood and addressed
  • Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future initiatives

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

Mandatory:

  • 10 years+ experience in communications and organizational change management in a lead capacity
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills including supporting programs (Powerpoint, Teams)
  • Strong facilitation and relationship management skills
  • Experience building organizational change roadmaps and adoption plans for end user technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 and associated applications.  Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 tenant and associated client applications
  • Operational risk knowledge related to working in a complex shared services environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines
  • Ability to articulate ideas, verbally and in writing, to a range of individuals within the organization regardless of level
  • High level of customer centric outward thinking

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with end user technologies
  • Previous experience in financial services or insurance industry an asset
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment

The base salary for this position is between  $82,800.00- $151,800.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
