We are establishing our new head office in London and looking to grow our team in this region! Candidates located in this region will be given preference.

This is a temporary opportunity up to 10 months in duration.

Hourly Rate: $17.25

Hours: 0-14 hours per week

Job Summary:

The Survey Interviewer will work on an on-call/part-time basis. While consistent hours of work will not be guaranteed, the Survey Assistant/Interviewer is expected to be available to work 2-3 shifts per week (depending on current project needs). During regular business hours shifts could range anytime between 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday and evening work from 2:00pm-8:30pm Monday to Thursday.  Responsibilities include: the collection of project-related data through telephone surveys, data entry and validation, testing of new questionnaires and recruitment of participants for focus groups.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct telephone interviews with injured workers, employers, providers and WSIB staff, and other stakeholders by:
  • Calling clients and administering voluntary questionnaires following the instructions and training provided
  • Recording responses by keyboard into Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) System in an efficient and error-free manner
  • Using techniques acquired through experience or in training to elicit thorough and comprehensive responses from survey respondents
  1. Perform data entry by:
  • Keying data according to instructions and training provided in an efficient and error-free manner
  • Checking accuracy of data entry done by other Survey Assistants/interviewers, as required
  1. Other potential duties may include:
  • Storing/filing/labeling data
  • Ad hoc work in support of Research and Evaluation projects with supervision and training 
  • Note-taking in an internal focus group setting and transcription of recorded audio conversations
  • Number validation/data entry -  reading from statistical program output
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Client-facing telephone experience
  • Keyboarding skills – 20 WPM minimum
