What You Will Do

As a Program Assurance and IV&V Lead, you will be a key member of our growing team, leading consulting engagements and partnering with large (>$5 million) enterprise program teams to: 

  • Evaluate the readiness of the organization to start the program,
  • Discover, articulate, and document program risks,
  • Evaluate their project delivery timelines, project delivery practices, and providing recommendations for improvement, and
  • Improve the benefit realization of implemented systems.

You will play a role in developing and presenting proposals, assisting in all areas of project management. You’ll also work towards growing our practice by securing additional project activities, driving proposal completion, and developing junior team members.  This is a role for someone who thrives in working in a dynamic, collaborative, fast growing business with tight timelines and autonomy.

Key Activities / Tasks

  • Project Delivery
    • Deliver small-to-mid sized client engagements within Info-Tech’s Consulting practice, specifically centered around Program Assurance Reviews for enterprise scale implementations.
    • Manage delivery of consulting projects, including but not limited to developing the project plan and schedule, understanding client needs and goals, designing and executing the project plan to achieve outcomes, crafting deliverables, and actively identifying additional opportunities.
    • Guide other Sr. Consultants/Consultants on the consulting team’s deliverables and, where needed, create compelling documents in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to demonstrate solutions and strategies for our clients.
    • Assess & monitor large scale development projects across multiple components.
    • Delivers best-practice recommendations to improve ongoing project delivery.
    • Performs project reviews and assess plan to project performance.
    • Builds and maintains client relationships with C-Suite executives.
  • Business Development
    • Partner with the Info-Tech business development leads and senior members of the consulting team to understand client needs and develop proposals and statements of work.
    • Play a role in business development activities including new business opportunities, qualifications, proposal development and client presentations.
    • Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory services, workshop, consulting engagements and services to our clients.
  • Practice Development
    • Work closely with the consulting practice leaders on strategic planning and go-to-market activities for Info-Tech’s Consulting division.
    • Make best-practice recommendations to improve ongoing practice and project delivery.
    • Mentor and Develop consulting team members by transferring skills and knowledge and proposing learning and development activities.
  • Client Workshop Facilitation
    • Work with clients in person or virtually to properly scope and formalize the objectives, agenda, deliverables, and overall workshop effort in advance of online or onsite delivery.
    • Lead the delivery of four-day workshops, online or onsite, based on Info-Tech’s Best Practice Methodology Blueprints.
    • Work with client cross-functional teams to define the scope and outcomes of their IT initiatives / projects, perform capability maturity assessments and gap analyses, and identify member improvement opportunities/recommendations.

 

What are you required to have

  • Client Interaction & Facilitation: Build rapport and effectively communicate with clients virtually and through facilitated in-person sessions.
  • Project Management: Manage project scope and budget effectively and report on project progress in a timely manner. Lead challenging negotiations, while managing scope and client expectations.
  • Business Development: Generate advisory sales leads through interactions with clients (i.e. analyst calls or project work) and proposal of Info-Tech services to fulfill client needs.
  • Analytical: Identifies trends in quantitative and qualitative data and links it to the project needs and desired outcomes. Structures a problem-solving process for problems of high complexity and drives important results.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Demonstrates skill in building consensus and resolving conflict. Effective in communicating how we can meet client needs while managing expectations. Expected to explain results and complex concepts in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in written format.
  • Presentation and Facilitation: Presents to senior leadership teams and employee groups and supports facilitation of focus groups at client site.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Works with other members of the practice teams to balance workloads and share ideas/learning experiences. Mentor junior members of the consulting team and assist in their personal and career development.
  • Advanced level user of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Able to work in a dynamic fast past environment with a focus on high performance and delivery excellence.
  • Self-motivated and action oriented.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

 

What We Look for

  • University degree, Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Recent experience in the management of a project, or a lead of a significant workstream, in a substantially sized (ERP, CRM, HRIS, or similarly sized impact) implementation project.
  • Senior/Managing BA in a significant program or significant program management office is a plus.
  • Experience operating as a solution owner, product owner, program manager is a plus.
  • Exposure to, or direct experience in, waterfall and AGILE/SCRUM methodologies..
  • Experience in the creation of project proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work is plus.
  • Demonstrated client interaction experience in a consulting delivery and/or sales capacity.
  • Acquired project experience and knowledge of: Project Management / Governance, Solution Architecture, Implementation Methodologies, Organizational Change Management, Quality Assurance, Maintenance & Operations, Financial and / or Vendor management, Project Risk Management.
  • Consulting certification, or certifications in IT or project management related topics e.g. CMC, PMP, SCRUM CERTIFIED, CBAP, COBIT 5, are considered beneficial.
  • This role may involve travel within North America up to 25% of the time.
