The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading Information Technology (IT) projects including; Application Delivery from original concept through to final implementation.  The Project Manager works closely and effectively with various IT and business leaders, championing the development of strong project plans while leading cross-functional multi-disciplined resources through the execution of the plans to deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations (on time, on budget and quality of scope).  

 

What you will do 

  • Work closely with the project sponsor, business partner and technology delivery leader to develop the project charter, including defining the project scope, goals, objectives, approach, methodology and communication plan.

  • Develop project delivery schedule, cost estimates, budget, resources required (people, equipment, materials).

  • Perform risk planning and analysis (qualitative & quantitative), including risk identification and risk response planning.

  • Execute, track and monitor progress to plan and distribute the appropriate project information to all relevant project team members.

  • Identify, resolve or escalate all project issues.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of PM best practices, tools and techniques.

  • Manage all aspects of the project (or portion of a larger project) over the entire life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).

What you will bring 

  • Degree in related discipline (Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc) or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Solid hands-on experience in project management: scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality.

  • Ability to resolve conflicting priorities in the delivery of a program; resolve resource issues; and manage project scope to meet expectations.

  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and provide excellent leaderships skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience.

  • Proven track record on leading and delivering increasingly complex projects.

  • Demonstrated understanding of risk assessment and management techniques.

  • Understanding of industry best practices: e.g. project planning and estimation,  software development life cycle (SDLC), business.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure.

The base salary for this position is between  $68,700.00- $126,000.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
