OneChart Phase II - Clinical Documentation

 

The Process Improvement Consultant is responsible for the successful deployment, onboarding support, and adoption of OneChart Phase II solutions within London Health Sciences Centre clinical areas. The Process Improvement Consultants serve as the face of the OneChart projects in the clinical areas and will become experts in the current state and will work with Clinical Informatics to define what the future states will look like once the technology is implemented.  They serve an important role in championing the project and acting as the voice of their clinical colleagues to the project team.

 

The Process Improvement Consultant is responsible for being a champion and leader in the use of the electronic health record, promoting the enhancements to patient care, communication, and access to information across all professions and departments within LHSC. This role ensures best practice processes are identified and adopted to optimize delivery of patient and family centered care, including safety, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness. 

 

The Process Improvement Consultant establishes and cultivates relationships with clinicians, technical staff, business partners, and leadership stakeholders at all levels to establish the conditions for effective engagement and to support the successful achievement of key project priorities. The role serves as an expert in process improvement principles and provides education, coaching/mentoring, and support to clinical and non-clinical departments. 

What we offer:

  • Rate of Pay: $46.79 - $58.48 per hour
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week

Qualifications

 

As the ideal candidate, you have:

  • Successful completion of an Undergraduate Degree in a regulated health field or as accepted by the hospital
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Current registration with applicable college
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the inter-relationship between clinical processes and technology tools
  • Advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills; challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives, seeks questions that go beyond the obvious, gets to root cause of issues/situations, seeks corrective/preventative actions to root causes
  • Advanced ability to facilitate organizational change and systems thinking; always seeking continuous improvement, questions assumptions, uses input and feedback to improve processes, adapts to changing situations
  • Develops ways of measuring effective and efficient use of resources, identifies and eliminates areas of waste through process improvement methodologies
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and building of collaborative partnerships
  • Advanced customer service and ability to respond to the specific and unique needs of each situation
  • Advanced facilitation and training skills (in person and virtually)
  • Self-motivated and action oriented; team player and leader who can work independently and able to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to the use of the electronic health record
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose, and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
