Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Develop and implement Salesforce QA strategies, ensuring system stability and business continuity.
  • Set standards and processes for test planning, execution, and reporting, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Ensure test automation coverage (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Test Automation for Salesforce (TAS)) where applicable.
  • Define and enforce testing standards for Salesforce Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations.
  • Manage and hold teams accountable for defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution prioritization.

Release Management & Deployment Governance

  • Own the Salesforce release calendar, aligning deployments across multiple product pods.
  • Train team members to manage release scope and risk, ensuring that each release meets business and quality expectations.
  • Support the team to facilitate change control processes, including stakeholder sign-offs and go/no-go decisions.
  • Define rollback strategies to ensure system stability in case of deployment failures.

Training, Change Management & Post-Release Support

  • For large projects, lead training and enablement programs for end-users and stakeholders impacted by Salesforce changes.
  • Create standards for the Salesforce Product teams for development of release notes, training guides, and knowledge articles to drive user adoption.
  • Supervise UAT sessions, guiding business users through testing and feedback collection.
  • Ensure effective post-release monitoring, coordinating issue resolution and optimizations.
  • Work with business stakeholders to measure the impact of Salesforce changes and gather feedback.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA) for Salesforce changes.
  • Hold teams accountable to maintain audit trails for releases, tracking approvals and deployment logs.
  • Define and monitor release performance metrics, reporting on release success rates and defects.

 

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in QA, Release Management, and Change Management, with at least 3+ years in a Salesforce environment.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Test Automation for Salesforce).
  • Experience in managing Salesforce releases, sandbox refreshes, and deployment strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with UAT planning and business stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in training and change management best practices for enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce security models, permissions, and governance policies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL change management processes.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) preferred.
