About the Role:
Hive Media Group is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join our team. You are someone who can both direct and execute the social media strategy of a group of social media properties in the history and vintage pop culture space. The video and editorial content you will be working with and creating spans topics like sunken ships, the Royals, and whether the Simpsons actually predicted major historical events. Our ideal candidate is strategic, creative, and data-driven. This role is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for history and digital marketing, who wants to grow their skills in an agile and ever-evolving workplace.

Responsibilities:

Create original content from scratch–including photos, infographics, and videos–to captivate the audience using photo and video software

Craft concise, compelling copy that aligns with the brand's voice and resonates with the target audience.

Consistently generate new content ideas by researching historical topics, analyzing trends, reviewing analytics, and monitoring competitors

Schedule video and editorial content on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms

Analyze engagement metrics to assess content performance and inform future strategies, using both internal reporting and Platform tools

Adjust strategy based on analytics, emerging trends, and algorithm updates
-
Create social media calendar using social media listening tools and historical performance data

Skill Requirements:
-
Social media expertise with a strong understanding of organic algorithms and digital marketing, particularly on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

Ability to analyze social media KPIs and make data-driven decisions.

High proficiency with social media tools such as Meta Business Suite.

Basic graphic design and video editing skills using Canva, Adobe Suite, or CapCut for creating images, graphics, light photo edits, and short-form videos.

Comfort with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, MidJourney) to enhance efficiency, creatives, and research.

Strong knowledge of and passion for history and vintage pop culture a huge plus

Ability to quickly research and learn new topics and present them in an engaging way to an audience.

Proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets) and data analysis.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Business acumen with a strategic mindset.

Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, while excelling in a highly independent role
