About the Role

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users through phone, email, chat, or in-person interactions.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including updates, and antivirus scans to uphold network integrity and security.
  • Collaborate closely with IT team members to implement and support IT infrastructure projects.
  • Document support procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps accurately for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement.
  • Prioritize vetting information for incident remediation and escalate as needed for timely resolution.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and repair workstations and laptops, communicating clearly with users and documenting solutions.
  • Facilitate seamless equipment transitions by removing old hardware and migrating data to new machines according to established protocols.
  • Offer user support for mobile devices, adhering to best practices during deployments and consulting relevant documentation for solutions.

 

Experience

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician with strong Windows operating systems knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, manage IT assets, and ensure accurate inventory maintenance.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, and networking concepts; skilled in troubleshooting software applications, email systems, and connectivity issues.
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, effective questioning, and confident articulation of solutions to end-users.
  • Strong customer service focus, demonstrated through high-quality technical support services for internal customers.
  • Experience providing Microsoft 365 support and familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) software.
  • Experience with MacOS/iOS is an asset.
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to various company sites.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
