Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Content Marketing who has a deep understanding of technology and the B2B tech buyer family (CIO to DevOps) to create memorable copy and content across numerous stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine strong long and short-form writings skills, expertise in B2B buyer behavior and marketing experience to develop appealing copy and content that drives the buyers' journey end-to-end, tailoring voice & style to audience, format and channel.

The individual in this role will partner with key stakeholders and peers to support and augment the writing of IT research and industry-based deliverables, and translate marketing plans, priorities and messaging into effective copy and content including deliverables for sales and marketing activities that generate and progress opportunities (web copy, video scripts, sales enablement assets, client presentations, social content and demand generation assets (email, event abstracts, web copy etc.).

The Director of Content Marketing must be an experienced leader with strong emotional intelligence to coach, educate and encourage a team of content creators to drive quality and consistency in tone, language and brand voice. The candidate will bring years of B2B IT experience and industry best practices in content marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and collaborate on copy and content needs across functions and stakeholders to ensure accurate, compelling and timely copy and asset delivery.
  • Develop and syndicate marketing content that increases client/buyer engagement and brand exposure to achieve measurable objectives.
  • Create highly relevant, content narratives that target, engage and retarget market conversations. Provide guidance to design to ensure format, function and value are optimized.
  • Interlock with cross-functional teams to ensure synergistic content in market and apply analytics against web, social and client data to gain insight about the reach and effectiveness of copy, digital content and engagement.
  • Translate complex technologies and concepts into easy to understand targeted, relevant and snackable content.
  • Drive editorial calendar in partnership with corporate comms, research, HR, social media and demand generation.
  • Develop and maintain asset inventory by buyers' journey stage to identify and solution key gaps.

Skills/Education Required:

  • College Degree BA / BS.
  • 10+ years marketing and/or content marketing experience in tech sector or Technology-focused company.
  • Proven expertise leading content or writing function for Large Enterprise B2B audience.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, can manage change and multi-task across projects & teams.
  • Experience marketing and/or creating content for core IT functions or capabilities such as the following:
    • Infrastructure Management
    • Cloud
    • SaaS
    • Data & Analytics
    • AI and Automation
    • Security
    • IT Professional Services
    • IT Research & Advisory Services
  • Experience marketing to the CIO and top IT Executives.
