The Engineering Specialist – End User Services is a key technical department responsible for the design, implementation, and support of secure, compliant, and efficient end-user computing environments. This role combines deep technical expertise in patching, automation, and endpoint management with a strong focus on user experience, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

 

What You Will Do  

  • Design and implement scalable automation using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform to streamline desktop provisioning, patching, and compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance the desktop management infrastructure (MECM, Intune, Azure VDI, Jamf) to support hybrid and cloud-first strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architects, Analysts, Project Managers, Network, Cloud DevOps, and Security teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain patching and compliance policies, procedures, and schedules in alignment with organizational security and IT strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2) through regular audits, reporting, and remediation.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for incidents, escalations and collaborate with Service Desk and Field Services to resolve complex issues.
  • Deliver technical guidance and training to end users and IT teams on endpoint tools and best practices.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives) and use tools like Jira or ServiceNow to manage work.
  • Support application lifecycle management, including packaging, deployment, and compatibility testing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of engineering processes, compliance procedures, and system configurations.
  • Contribute to Transition to Production (T2P) and Change Management processes.

What You Will Bring 

  • 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or infrastructure roles.
  • Significant experience with Windows 10 and 11 and MacOS operating systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Strong understanding of endpoint management, configuration baselines, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for automation.
  • Strong knowledge of MECM, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, and endpoint security tools (Defender, Rapid7).
  • Experience with patching and compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Assets

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, ITIL.
    Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Entra
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale environments and cross-functional collaboration.

The base salary for this position is between  $52,800 - $97,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
