This a student position that is 4 months in duration (May - August 2025). You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University.

This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program. 

 

 Working as a member of the Technology Spend Management team, the Automation & BI Enhancement Specialist (Student Position) will play a critical role in supporting the organisation’s Automation & Business Intelligence Enhancement.  This role will focus on optimizing data management, improving reporting capabilities and enhancing automation across various financial and operational processes.  The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, an interest in process automation and a passion for working with data driven tools.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assess and analyze existing data sources, reporting processes and automation tools
  • Identify opportunities to enhance BI dashboards, reporting structures and workflow automation
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and automation pain points, recommending and executing improvements
  • Support in building predictive models, process automation and workflow enhancements
  • Assist in data cleansing, transformation, and integration for improved decision-making
  • Provide user friendly documentation and training guides for developed solutions

 

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or a related field
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or other automation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage large datasets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self starter with a keen interest in digital transformation and process improvement.
  • Should possess strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a team-based atmosphere.
  • Should have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and should be adaptable to change. 
  • Have excellent time management skills with a strong attention to detail.

The base salary for this position is between  $40,300 - $67,000 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
