The DevOps Engineering Specialist provides second level support and engineering for Canada Life’s hybrid Exchange environment, multiple email security tools and RightFAX.  In addition this role provides technical leadership for both our customers and for projects and leads technology implementation initiatives as needed. The role works closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer and Portfolio/Systems Architecture to ensure effective technology solutions are designed, implemented and supported that meet corporate standards.

 

What you will do 

  • Provide second level support for Canada Life’s hybrid Exchange environment, multiple email security tools and RightFAX
  • Meet all operational and organizational SLAs, KPIs and Risk targets
  • Produce detailed infrastructure design documentation and develop technical specifications for target environment(s) as needed
  • Build and configure technology solutions as dictated by the architecture
  • Create all necessary solution documentation including operational, architectural, recovery and Transition to Production documents
  • Provide 2nd level support on a rotational 7x24 on-call

 

What you will bring 

  • At least 5 years performing 2nd level Exchange support.
  • Knowledge of common email security tools, DKIM/DMARC/SPF and/or RightFAX would be beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective internal consulting skills with a strong customer service orientation
  • Effective planning and organizational skills

The base salary for this position is between  $61,600.00 - $112,400.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
