Senior Records & Materials Clerk (18-month contract)
 

We are looking for a Senior Records & Materials Clerk.

 

The Records and Materials Centres in the company house records for storage; and supplies and materials for distribution. Within this environment, the Senior Warehouse Clerk is responsible for overseeing records and materials coming and going from the centre. This includes receiving new stock and/or records, fulfilling requests for supplies and/or records, working with 3rd party suppliers who support these services, and may also include some advanced finishing on materials. There are many tasks associated with this role, and the Clerk may be assigned on a rotational basis to any and all of these tasks; as such, they are responsible for familiarity with the entire role.

The Senior Warehouse Clerk may also be assigned to any of the duties of the Junior Warehouse Clerk, as needed. 

This position is working full-time in office.

 

What you will do:

  • Handle incoming supplies and materials that must be received physically and on system, and then sorted, shelved and filed appropriately
  • Use appropriate system to collect requests
  • Retrieve materials from designated location (this may also include interaction with 3rd party storage providers)
  • Prepare materials for shipping to requestor
  • Update all applicable systems and tracking 
  • Ensuring that all documents to be scanned have been prepared appropriately
  • Appropriate handling of both original paper source document, and digital image, post scan · indexing digitial image in repository, as required
  • Handling materials that may need complex finishing before stocking or shipping 
    Responsible for preparation of materials and/or records for shipping (client, requestor, 3rd party, etc)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

What you will bring:

  • High School education mandatory, post secondary an asset
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Accuracy (especially under deadlines)
  • Attention to detail · Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, and ability to use SAP, digital scanners, etc
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces, bend, reach, grasp, lift up to 50lbs, crouch, and walk for long periods
  • Due to the high profile of a number of our clients, a Federal Government Enhanced Screening is a job requirement and this will involve fingerprinting and a credit check
  • Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website.

The base salary for this position is between  $35,200 - $47,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
