Reporting to the Director of International Recruitment and Market Development, the Manager of International Marketing and Digital Engagement is pivotal in cultivating a dynamic enrolment pipeline through an agile and efficient digital recruitment and communication strategy, to engage, convert, and retain students from around the world. The role will manage strategic development, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of a broad range of communications and marketing campaigns that align to strategic priorities, with a goal of building and promoting Fanshawe’s brand and reputation locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Manager of International Marketing and Digital Engagement collaborates across the college and with partners around the world to drive our strategic communications framework to integrate cutting-edge digital marketing techniques and emerging technologies to amplify global presence and recruitment efforts. This role leads operational activities, nurtures partner relationships, and contributes to achieving international enrolment targets.
The Manager of International Marketing and Digital Engagement leads a team of on-and-offshore communications and marketing experts to deliver and assess country specific digital engagement initiatives that drive performance through student enrollment in a highly competitive environment.

Job Qualifications
- Post-secondary 4-year degree with a specialization in Marketing or Communications
- Master’s degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ of Management experience, working in an international context, in international recruitment, international marketing or international business development, with a proven ability to plan and achieve business goals
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of the education sector in target markets including providers, academic issues, market trends, regulatory environment and networks of contacts.
- Experience with academic and business strategies of international education particularly in key markets is required.
- Experience in the planning, development and management of international education projects.
- Proven cultural awareness and demonstrated global mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both oral and written).
- Familiar with the use of communication and information technologies for administrative and marketing purposes.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Experience managing staff in a unionized environment and the ability to work in a diverse work environment is preferred.
- Excellent human relations skills, judgement, cross cultural awareness with above average knowledge of international needs for post-secondary education, customer service/relationship management skills, conflict resolution skills, contract negotiation skills, research skills, budget management and project management skills.
- Presentation skills both oral and written. Demonstrated listening skills as most communication is done through translators, interpreters or with second language speakers.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, social media account platforms, editing software, and emerging technologies like AI.
- Ability to develop and implement effective communication frameworks.
- Proficient in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and multi-channel tools.
- Experience in managing marketing strategies and pipeline engagement.
- Understanding of cultural, social, environmental, and linguistic factors affecting international markets.
- Skilled in creating and editing various forms of content (e.g., brochures, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, video, graphics, etc.).
- Experience managing leads within a Customer Relationship Management system.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics, ROI, conversion rates, and prepare high-level analytics reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor onshore and offshore teams, providing coaching and feedback.
- Experience nurturing key account relationships and managing partnerships.
- Proficiency in organizing and hosting recruitment events, webinars, and livestreams.
- Skills in utilizing influencers (current and former students) for digital engagement.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders from differing geographic locations and across multiple time zones.
