Job Description:

The School of Information Technology is looking for qualified Part-time professors (6 hours and under per week) to teach courses in the following areas:

 

- System Z Cobol Programming
- Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT) Analysis
- Scripting for Web Security
- Wireless and Mobile Development

- Programming Fundamentals
- Windows Operating Systems
- Networking
- O/S Applications Security
- Digital Forensics
- Data Analytics

 

Candidates are expected to be available up to six hours per week for in-person course delivery in London, Ontario. Please specify your area of expertise in your application package. The successful candidate(s) may only teach in the School of IT for the duration of this contract. 

 

 

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Information Technology or a related area
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in area of expertise 
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- A combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
