StarTech.com is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at our Corporate Office in London, Ontario.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of activities including data gathering, analysis and reporting. The Financial Analyst will provide support to the Executive Team and functional teams by providing weekly and monthly sales revenue reports. We’re looking for a candidate who can design and create complex models for Business Intelligence and is able to analyze large sets of data while interpreting and communicating results effectively. In This Role You Will:
- Compile revenue reports daily, weekly and monthly that track business performance
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required for various functional business units and accurately interpret and communicate results
- Provide support in analyzing price variance, margin variance, changes in forecast and revenue/cost trends
- Work cross-functionally with IT/Data Governance teams to resolve data issues
- Support the finance team in building/maintaining our Power BI Dashboard
- Analyze trends in revenue growth and inventory to highlight potential areas of opportunity for the company
Your Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a similar field
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a reporting and analysis role
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, particularly in the use of advanced formulas and workbook auditing and design
- Experience with Business Intelligence software and relational databases
- Ability to analyze large data sets and extract meaningful conclusions
- Strong communication and analytical skills, creativity, curiosity, and a strong desire and willingness to learn
