Finance Business Partner - North America
 

Trackunit is looking for a passionate Finance Business Partner to join our global Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A)team.

We're looking for a strong analytical candidate who enjoys diving into detailed modeling and at the same time keeps a perspective on the numbers and our strategy. We're looking for someone who is outgoing and not afraid of going into detailed discussions with key stakeholders throughout the organization.

You will be reporting to the Director of Finance Planning and Analysis and join a small FP&A team currently consisting of two (2) Finance Business Partners supporting the company on its ambitious growth journey.

With locations in the hearts of London, ON and Kitchener, ON, we offer you a hybrid and flexible setup with the possibility to work from one of our locations or remotely from anywhere in Ontario.

Who are you ideally?

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business 
  • +3-5 years experience in a similar role 
  • Are curious, and have a proactive and ambitious attitude
  • Great at seeing the overall picture as well as the small details
  • Like to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Has a strong analytical skillset and enjoy diving into complex modeling
  • Advance modeling experience in Excel
  • Advanced PowerPoint creation and presentation skills 
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where priorities change as our business evolves

Primary responsibilities:

Ensuring we have an updated overview of our financial outlook which is summarized in a clear and crisp presentation

This is done by:

  • Running the forward-looking planning processes including long- and short-term financial forecasts, budgeting, and reporting with a focus on insights, efficiency, and high-quality deliverables
  • Running the Financial Performance Reviews with Sales and other functions so managers understand and can take action on their numbers
  • Review and develop business cases on key business initiatives including identifying and executing activities to manage a growing and profitable business, i.e. effective cost and working capital management etc.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and preparing slide decks for discussions and presenting with senior stakeholders
  • As a Finance Business partner in Trackunit, you will have a key role in driving our strategy from a financial perspective
  • Senior stakeholder management, you will be exposed to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

 

Our hiring process

  • Virtual meet and greet. Meet with Rasmus Foss-Pedersen 
  • Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. There are no correct answers - the aim is a dialogue about the results and Trackunit’s culture, so you’ll get to know us better as well.
  • Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete work tasks or challenges related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from across Trackunit, who you’ll also work closely with in the job.
  • If needed, throughout the process we will obtain do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself.
