We are looking for a Business Systems Consultant

Our Investments line of business is looking to hire a Business Systems Consultant in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Reporting to the AVP Technology Delivery, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in business systems analysis.

As a Business Systems Consultant you will work closely with other IT practitioners, business leaders, and third-party suppliers to deliver solutions to the Investments business community.  This role provides thought leadership by acting as an analysis lead for a large program or portfolio.  As well, the successful candidate will apply their advanced, specialized knowledge to work on strategic and complex programs that are typically long term with substantial business impact.

 

What you will do 

  • Perform complex analysis, scoping, estimating, and planning
  • Provide expert knowledge through ambiguous situations, identifying and resolving problems across multiple domains
  • Champion and assist in strategic product planning based on business objectives
  • Partner with management in the development of strategic and operational plans related to the product/portfolio/program
  • Provide consulting to the business partners to define potential solutions to business problems
  • Contribute to strategy development, including roadmaps, for the division and large initiatives

What you will bring 

  • Post-secondary degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.), or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training, and experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in the investments area
  • Strong customer service focus and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and provide excellent leaderships skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Creative and strong problem-solving skills
