What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for building and managing project schedules, obtaining input from all project stakeholders to gain buy in and acceptance of milestones and target completion dates. They are responsible for engaging project participants and sponsors to ensure active participation on project initiatives and deliverables ensuring they are in line with the SDLC.

The Project Manager must inspire a positive work environment and help champion quality, innovation, teamwork, and service to the business. Clear, concise, ongoing communication will be a cornerstone for this position and the success of projects within the organization. The Project Manager will work in close proximity to the Team Leaders & Managers from all LOBs and shared services holding them accountable to their objectives and timelines.  This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.

You will be responsible for

  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive management, scope, and implementation of key initiatives.
  • Assess project issues such as roadblocks, identify solutions, manage project dependencies and critical path and contingency plans as needed.
  • Establish clear ownership and accountabilities for project tasks and ensure personnel volume and tools needed for the projects are adequate.
  • Lead project management initiatives by overseeing end-to-end processes, including planning, documentation, SOP development, training and post-implementation optimization.
  • Manage, develop, evolve, and improve project charters, project plans and timeline specific records.
  • Facilitate the assembly of project definition, scope, estimates, and work breakdown structure.
  • Work with the development team on the following behaviours: Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting; preparing project budgets; analysing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • Consistently sourcing and training on new upcoming technologies and industry trends to achieve business objectives.
  • Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making working in a fast paced environment.

What we need from you

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Business Analysis, Project Management/IT Project Management, or relevant education in Business. 
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Project Management fundamentals and methodologies.
  • Provides leadership and ensures accountability for achievement of results.
  • Experience using project management software & standards – MS Project, Asana, Gantt Charts, Visio, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment and be familiar with Agile events, working alongside Product owners, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with limited resources, recognizing the alignment needs in order to achieve the strategic directions.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MX.
