Back End Developer
Are you a Senior Back End Web Developer who is ready to build something cool

We are constantly pushing the envelope to bring innovative approaches to distributing our video and editorial content across social platforms, understanding our audiences, and building loyal fans.
This is the right role for you if you have…
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, React and Node.js PLUS you are a caching / deployment / CI/CD style developer (must haves!)
• Fluency in common web development tools and strong knowledge of NoSQL database as well as GCP products Compute/App engine, Cloud Build - CI/CD Pipeline
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies to ensure integration with the application’s back end elements
• An affinity for developing functional and sustainable web applications with clean code
• Successfully taken a web-based project from inception to launch in a senior or lead capacity, scaling the back-ends of web-based software, fixing optimization, improving database performance and dealing with server instance, cloud management, and/or caching
• The ability to translate conceptual requirements into solutions, develop and assess options as well as determine dev approach within a broad framework
• A knack for taking stuff that is manual and automating it as well as integrating it with other tools and applications in place including data
• Confidence in your development skills as well as the curiosity and determination to learn new technologies and languages
• A passion for building things through programming or in real life, essentially personal projects because you love to create
• A pretty chill approach to working where you keep others up to date, leave your ego at the door and never use the words: "That's how it's always been done"
In this role:
You will be responsible for collaborating with our dev team to design and develop scalable backend features and functionality for our existing web applications as well as for new web applications / technologies under development (Phase 1 release in January 2021). You will work closely with our front-end developments and our Product / Product Design team members to enhance, optimize and maintain our web-based applications.
