Job Description

Our Systemair facility located in Tillsonburg Ontario is the manufacturing center of commercial air handling units (AHU) for North America. Our clean, air-conditioned plant along with state-of-the-art equipment (Prima Power Servo-Electric Press Brakes, Shear/Punch Combi w/ fully automated coil and sheet loading and finished part stacking equipment) and family like atmosphere provides a safe, comfortable and friendly work environment.
We are currently looking for IT Support Technician. This newly created role will be based at our Tillsonburg Systemair location. This is a full time permanent position with salary commensurable with experience. We offer competitive group insurance benefits and RRSP employer match contribution plan after 3 months probationary period.
As the first-line IT Support, you will be employee-oriented in order to provide prompt service to Systemair employees. You will also be responsible to configure new computers using the pre-established parameters set by the IT manager and the IT Tech Group. The IT Support Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution.
Responsibilities:
Serving as the first point of contact for all Systemair employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or in person.
Providing technical support via Systemair's IT Ticket System, and responding within a timely manner.
Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications to pre-established parameters.
Assist employees by diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving hardware & software issues.
Assist in occasional production software upgrade projects.
Skills Required:
At least 2 years work experience in IT support role, preferrably in manufacturing environment.
Certificate in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge with a variety of software and applications.
Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
Ability to think logically, diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
Attention to detail.
