Position Description:
- Analyze and decompose System to Sub-system level software requirements
- Support development of Electronic architecture, ensuring consistency with developed requirements, in collaboration with Embedded and Application Software Development Teams
- Analyze technical data in support of software requirements development
- Develop software test plans and test procedures
- Ensure bi directional traceability between test procedures and software requirements, and between software requirements and sub-system level requirements
- Develop unit tests for a variety of applications from embedded to web
- Document test defects in an issue-reporting system
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and engineering in a team environment
- Manage metrics and reporting to identify defects and test coverage
- Develop test reports and present to customers (internal and external) as required
- Create and deliver contractual reports (CDRL, DID) to customers
- Document compliance artifacts, establish and maintain requirements change control system.
- Provide input into tools and test environments for next generation products
- Support continuous improvement and integration activities
- Lead junior employees/interns in areas of software requirements and testing
- Support bid & proposal efforts for all programs in regards to requirements management
- University Degree or College Diploma in related field OR Non-Technical Degree or Diploma plus 5+ years in a related technical role
- Strong technical and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to be agile, set priorities and multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to give presentations to internal and external customers.
- Ability to obtain and hold a valid Secret level security clearance
- Ability to Travel (5% Canadian, 5% US & International) and possess and maintain a valid passport
- Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS
- Proficiency with Enterprise Architect or CAMEO systems modeler
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology using SysML & UML
- Proficiency with DSpace Automation Desk and Control Desk
- Experience following Agile development methodology
- Demonstrated proficiency in requirements development and system/sub-system verification processes and methodology in defense industry
- Product knowledge of Military/LAV family of vehicles
- Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo)
- Experience with software version control systems (GIT)
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink
- Knowledge of variety of software testing methodologies (Acceptance, Code Coverage Analysis, Performance, Regression)
- Working knowledge of ISO 11989, Bosch CAN2.0B, SAEJ1939 and similar standards
- 3-5 years’ experience as lead SW test engineer and/or SW Requirements Development
