Salary Grade: N11

Annual Base Salary From: $137,775.00 To: $172,219.00

Job Summary:

Provide leadership, vision and direction for organizational development and employee experience and culture programs. Direct the overall planning, development, execution and evaluation of various organizational development, products and services.

Responsible for executive and senior leadership stakeholder engagement across the WSIB related to organizational development programs and initiatives including preparation and facilitation of executive and senior leadership discussions, off sites, etc. Must demonstrate strong political acuity, business acumen and relationship management.

Major Responsibilities:

 
  • Oversee enterprise-wide initiatives to enhance the employee experience and organizational culture of the WSIB.
     
This is accomplished by designing, developing and executing key initiatives such as:
 
  • Oversee the redesign, implementation and maintenance of WSIB’s corporate recognition programs (e.g. WSIB Celebrates).
  • Employee Experience survey and Enterprise action planning, that integrates the end-to-end employee experience throughout the employee life cycle (e.g. application to exit), including the facilitation of organizational engagement surveys and the integration of action planning.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning (including Succession planning).
  • Performance Management program,
    • Oversee the creation and integration of an employee value proposition, ensuring alignment with the corporate values and brand.
  • Onboarding and off-boarding processes (including exit surveying).
  • Works closely with the Director, Enterprise Learning to ensure seamless integration of the talent management practises such as: Talent identification practises (talent mapping) and Succession planning with the various leadership development programs.
  • Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to direct reports. Ensure job standards and performance expectations are established to ensure delivery of effective and efficient programs and services and achieve a high level of knowledge and development for the WSIB. Monitor, evaluate and manage the overall branch performance and compliance with legislative requirements, corporate policy and financial controls. Ensure risk management, quality management and continuous improvement systems are established to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness and cost benefit of OD programs.
  • Develop and maintain communication linkages and relationships internally across the division and with management across the organization as required to identify ongoing and changing needs, and to ensure programs, services and work processes are aligned with business requirements to maintain a high level of customer service and support.
  • Act as a senior resource, providing advice and guidance to leaders on strategies, policies, programs, practices, and processes. Participate as a team member and management member at various management meetings to discuss, identify, recommend changes that will improve services, provide input and expertise on issues of mutual concern and exchange information.

  • Education requirements:
     
Minimum Level Required
 
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Strategy, Policy, Education or HR/Organizational Development
  • CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader)
     
Preferred Level
 
  • Additional education and designations related to strategy, policy, compliance, business, project and portfolio management, human resources.
  • SHRL (Senior Human Resources Leader)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PMP (Portfolio Management Professional)
  • Experience
     
Minimum Level Required
 
  • 10-15 years in Human Resources, with a minimum of 8 years in a management /leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic and business planning, program and project management, and vendor management contract negotiation
  • Must have executive presence - demonstrated success in the ability to effectively impact and influence executive and senior level leaders
  • Relevant insurance / public sector experience preferred
     
Preferred Level
 
  • Extensive large-scale whole systems project management experience and expertise.
