Solution Architect
Role description
As a Solution Architect supporting Digital Experience applications, you will be responsible for leading the design of robust, scalable and mission critical customer facing applications. You’ll work in a complex environment with a mix of legacy and modern systems and infrastructure. As we continue to modernize and we are seeking a skilled solution architect to play a key role in identifying opportunities and influencing and guiding our transformation journey.
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, Winnipeg.
This will be a hybrid role, with the successful candidate working approximately 2 days per week in-office (Toronto, London or Winnipeg).
What you will do
- Support and drive the organizational goals to simplify, automate and reuse technology assets
- Foster collaboration and understanding across all teams to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met while balancing business goals
- Develop and maintain application and digital technology asset roadmaps, aligned to technology and business strategy
- Define standards and best practices in relation to digital architecture concerns
- Influence and contribute to the development of technology strategy and delivery planning
- Collaborate and guide engineering teams and applications towards target state architectures
- Coach peers to successfully adopt standards and patterns
- Review solution designs and participate in architecture review forums
What you will bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a solution or enterprise architect having worked in designing and supporting digital experiences in complex environments
- Experience architecting digital experience solutions with public cloud and SaaS products
- Integration architectures and patterns (e.g. etl, event, api)
- Salesforce and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Developing target state architectures and roadmaps
- Blend of technical skills and business acumen
- Proven experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at complex concerts at various levels
- Curiosity and passion to leverage modern technology to improve the customer experience
Assets
- Experience in the financial services, insurance or similar regulated industry
- Experience with application modernization
- Working knowledge of security, identity and authorization patterns
- Participated in leading POCs and vendor evaluations
- Content management
- Front-end UI frameworks (e.g. Vue, React, Angular)
- Architecture experience using modelling languages (e.g. UML, TOGAF, Archimate, etc.)
- Certification with TOFAG (9.2) is beneficial
- Experience working in product and agile environments
- Hand’s on experience solutioning mobile applications beneficial
